NameGen Documentation |
|
NameGen is 99% self explanatory so
we'll just take you through the basics of file structure and database
customization. |
|
File Structure |
NameGen databases
consist of three basic file types: |
|
.MFN
= Male First Name |
.FFN = Female First Name |
.LN = Last Name |
|
All files are written in standard
DOS text so they can be edited with NOTEPAD or any other text editor. |
|
Database Customization |
Edit your databases with any
standard text editor. You can add or remove names from a database or create
your own lists. All you need to do is adhere to the file structure. If,
for example, you want to create a list of Portuguese names your files would be: |
|
Portuguese.MFN = Male First
Name |
Portuguese.FFN =
Female First
Name |
Portuguese.LN =
Last Names |
|
The new database will now be
available from the Nationality list. Just make sure that the files are in the same
directory as NameGen. |
